Michael R. Miele

Michael R. Miele is the Co-Head of the Private Equity Group and the Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee. He is also a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. Mr. Miele was a founding member of the Private Equity Group in 1996. Previously, Mr. Miele worked in the Principal Investment Area and Corporate Finance Department of Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division. Mr. Miele first joined Goldman Sachs in 1987, as an Analyst, and became a Managing Director in 1999. Mr. Miele received a B.A. from Swarthmore College and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

A. Charles Baillie

A. Charles Baillie is the Co-Head of the Private Equity Group and the Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee. He is also a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. Prior to joining the Private Equity Group in 2000, Mr. Baillie worked in Goldman Sachs’ Mergers and Acquisitions Group in London, where he focused on restructurings. Mr. Baillie has also served as Secretary to the Goldman Sachs Operating Committee, a group of senior partners that establishes firmwide operating policy. Mr. Baillie joined Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in 1991, in the Corporate Finance Department of the Investment Banking Division, and became a Managing Director in 2002. Mr. Baillie received a B.A.H. from Queen’s University, Canada, an M.A. from the University of Oxford, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar.

J. Christopher Kojima

J. Christopher Kojima is the Co-Head of the Private Equity Group and the Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee. He is also a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. Prior to joining the Private Equity Group in 1999, Mr. Kojima specialized in leveraged buyouts and acquisition financing in Goldman Sachs’ Leveraged Finance Department, where he was also appointed Business Unit Manager and served as Secretary to the Commitments Committee. Mr. Kojima joined Goldman Sachs as an Associate in 1995, in the Investment Banking Division, and became a Managing Director in 2002. Mr. Kojima received a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and is a member of the New York Bar. He received an M.Phil. in Finance from the University of Cambridge and a B. Comm. from the University of Manitoba. Mr. Kojima is also a Trustee of the Asian Cultural Council and a Trustee of the Juilliard School, where he serves on the investment committee.

Michael J. Brandmeyer

Michael J. Brandmeyer is a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group, where he is a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. He is also a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the Private Equity Group, Mr. Brandmeyer was a portfolio manager in the Fixed Income Group, focusing on domestic and international high yield, and also worked as a high yield securities analyst covering various sectors. Mr. Brandmeyer joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management as an Associate in 1995 and became a Managing Director in 2004. Mr. Brandmeyer received a B.A. from the University of California at Davis, an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and an M.I.A. from the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs. Mr. Brandmeyer is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Kiele Neas

Kiele Neas is a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group, where she is a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. She is also a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the Private Equity Group, Ms. Neas served as Chief of Staff of the firm’s Investment Management Division and focused on mergers and acquisitions in the Communications, Media and Entertainment Department of the Investment Banking Division. Ms. Neas first joined Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in 1991, in the Corporate Finance Department of the Investment Banking Division, and rejoined as an Associate in 1996, after working for McKinsey & Company. She became a Managing Director in 2004. Ms. Neas received a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Marc O. Boheim

Marc O. Boheim is a Managing Director and Head of the Private Equity Group’s operations in Europe. He is a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities and is also a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the Private Equity Group, Mr. Boheim worked in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division, in the Corporate Finance, Leveraged Finance, and Communications, Media and Entertainment Departments. Previously, Mr. Boheim worked in Goldman Sachs’ Advisory Group in London, where he focused primarily on investment banking transactions in Germany and Austria. Mr. Boheim first joined Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in 1992, rejoined in 1997 as an Associate and became a Managing Director in 2005. Mr. Boheim received a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Tuan Lam

Tuan Lam is a Managing Director and Head of the Private Equity Group's operations in Asia. Mr. Lam is also a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. He is also a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to re-joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Lam was a Managing Director at DBS Bank Ltd., where he served as Head of DBS Private Equity, focusing on private equity investments and mezzanine lending for the Asia Ex-Japan markets. Mr. Lam also served as Co-Head of DBS Global Financial Markets for the Greater China Region, managing the investment banking business for DBS in this region. Prior to joining DBS, Mr. Lam was a Managing Director at Internet Capital Group Asia. Mr. Lam first joined Goldman Sachs in 1991, in the Corporate Finance Department of the Investment Banking Division, rejoined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an Associate and later became a Vice President in Goldman Sachs' Principal Investments Area. He also served as a Secretary to the firm's Commitments Committee. Mr. Lam received B.A. and B.S. degrees from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Harold P. Hope III

Harold P. Hope III is a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group, where he is a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. He is also a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the Private Equity Group, Mr. Hope worked in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division in its Leveraged Finance and Corporate Finance Departments. Mr. Hope joined Goldman Sachs as an Associate in 1999, and previously worked as a Financial Analyst at the investment banking boutique, Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. Mr. Hope received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of The Harvard Law Review.

C. Kane Brenan

C. Kane Brenan is a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group, where he is a Portfolio Manager focusing on primary, co-investment and secondary investment opportunities. He is also a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the Private Equity Group, Mr. Brenan worked in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division, in its Leveraged Finance Department and Technology, Media and Telecommunications Department. Mr. Brenan joined Goldman Sachs as an Associate in 1998 and previously worked as a corporate law associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Mr. Brenan received a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D./M.B.A. from Georgetown University, magna cum laude, where he was a Beta Gamma Sigma scholar and an editor of The Georgetown Law Review. Mr. Brenan is a member of the New York Bar.
